Webber campaigns for Silverstone

Mark Webber, fourth in the drivers' championship Formula 1 this season, hopes that a solution will be found between the owners of the Silverstone circuit (British Racing Driver?s Club) and the FOM (Formula One Management). While Donington is out of the race, Silverstone is in pole position to host the next British Grand Prix. But there is still the financial problem to be resolved.

« We need the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, insists Mark Webber to the BBC. It?s a sensational circuit. It has always been eagerly awaited. »

Second in this year's Silverstone race, behind his teammate Sebastian Vettel, the representative of the GPDA (F1 drivers association) believes that the English ring should appear on the 2010 calendar.

« I know all the other F1 drivers love coming here, notes the pilot Red Bull. This is because of the incredible sensations one gets when cornering at high speeds. It is a difficult circuit. It takes you back to the foundations of F1. »
