Webber: Red Bull was preparing for 2012

If Mark Webber achieved the best time in the first free practice session at Interlagos, the Australian failed in 3rd place in the afternoon behind Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) and Sebastian Vettel, the two pilots Red Bull falling behind the Briton by less than two tenths. If the second Taureau Rouge driver thinks that the results are representative of the performance of the single-seaters, he would like to point out that his team has focused on testing for the next season.

“It was perhaps our last chance to ride in the dry, with bad weather expected for the rest of the weekend,” explains the Australian. “We have therefore worked on certain points for next year as well as on reliability, in particular with Renault. So the day was positive for us. Nevertheless, the information and the pace displayed against the competition remain reliable. We didn't put this weekend aside, no one focused on anything but the 2012 season."
