Webber: “Seb deserved to win”

Mark Webber (Red Bull), today second in the World Championship of Formula 1, does not have its destiny in its hands. A victory in Abu Dhabi will not be enough for him to secure the title, he will have to count on the Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) does not finish second. But the Australian does not blame his team for not having asked Sebastian Vettel to step aside to let the Australian win.

« From a mathematical point of view, it would have helped me but that was never the team's philosophy, explained Webber to AUTOhebdo.fr. We followed each other all season and there was never a big gap between the two of us. We were neck and neck most of the time. And Seb deserved to win today »

But the Australian knows full well that Red Bull, in this game, will perhaps lose against Ferrari, who did everything to make Fernando Alonso World Champion. “ Obviously, Fernando scored additional points at Hockenheim, as has happened in the past and as it will happen again, he continued at a press conference. Everyone has their own opinion on the matter. That's how it is for now so I'm here and I'm doing my best. »
