Webber: “Vettel played in another category”

Mark Webber is not disappointed with his poor start at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix where the Australian started from pole. His teammate Sebastian Vettel was uncompromising at Yas Marina, taking the lead of the race as soon as the lights went out. The Australian dropped to third behind Nico Rosberg on the first lap before regaining the lead in the pit stops. The second driver of the team Milton Keynes is convinced he was unable to cope with the four-time world champion, with the winner prevailing by half a minute ahead of his nearest opponent.

“I don’t think the start was decisive. Vettel played in a different category today », recognized Mark Webber who only has two Grands Prix left to hope to score one last victory in F1. “I achieved the best possible result. He was fast and really very competitive. I was very slow in the first stint and I had a lot of difficulty keeping the rear tires on, which accelerated the degradation of the tires. My pace wasn't too bad after the first stop, but the race was over. We ultimately end up with the results we deserve. »
