Webber: 'Vettel deserves the title'

Sebastian Vettel last weekend became the youngest Champion in the history of the F1, after winning the title at just 23 years, 4 months and 11 days. Mark Webber is obviously disappointed not to have won the title, even though he is at the end of his career, but he consoles himself with the success of Red Bull and his German teammate.

« The Constructors' Championship was very important for Red Bull, and it shows that the season was dedicated to the team », Commented the older of the two drivers of the champion team. “ We can all be proud of what we have achieved. I'm just disappointed for my personal goal for the season, but we had a lot of good times and the next season starts soon. »

The Australian admits to having experienced difficult moments with his teammate, but he assures that this type of relationship was inevitable in the competition. “ It hasn?t always been easy between us during the year, but that?s normal when we compete against each other at this level. We both wanted to become World Champions and we pushed the team to perfection. »

Nevertheless, Mark Webber congratulates his teammate on his title. “ At the end of the season we had mutual respect for each other, which is important. Congratulations to Sebastian, he truly deserves his title. »
