Williams would like to keep its drivers

The stable Williams had a difficult start to the season but seems to be gradually emerging from this bad patch since Rubens Barrichello scored his first points at the Monaco GP, even if the British team left Silverstone with a goalless score. Adam Parr has nevertheless indicated that Williams would be ready to extend the contracts of its two drivers for 2012.

Rubens Barrichello, however, clarified that he had not yet discussed it with the director of Williams. “I still haven’t heard about it”, comments the Brazilian to Autosport. “I want to pilot a car competitive next year. I hope to stay in F1 and I am therefore waiting for a quick offer from the team. »

Adam Parr also seems satisfied with Pastor Maldonado's debut. “He is a very talented driver”, declares the team director. “His results in GP2 certainly gave him a place in F1. You can watch his pace and he started to show a certain level of consistency and maturity that people weren't expecting. We have been to Q3 three times this season and each time thanks to him. »
