Williams announces new management committee

The news keeps coming Williams at Monza this week. After announcing this Thursday that the Williams family would withdraw from the eponymous team founded in 1977 on the evening of the Italian Grand Prix, the team immediately announced the identity of the 3 people who will make up its new management committee.

The first two names are already more or less known: they are Matthew Savage and Darren Fultz, respectively president and CEO of Dorilton Capital, the new owners of Williams.

The 3rd Director, on the other hand, is quite intriguing. This is James Matthews, former Formula champion Renault British in the 1990s successfully reconverted to finance and today at the head of the Eden Rock Group company specializing in investment advice.

In the city, Matthews is also the husband of Pippa Middleton, sister of Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge and wife of Prince William, 2nd in the line of succession to the English crown.

Since the announcement of the sale of Williams to Dorilton on August 21, Claire Williams has repeatedly said that the new American owners, whose business portfolio had no connection with motorsport until then, were advised by keen connoisseurs of automotive matters. This is already a first clue.
