Williams and Toyota part ways

Expected for some time, the partnership between Williams and Toyota will end at the end of the 2009 season. The contract which runs until the end of 2010 therefore ends a year before its end. However, Williams has not yet confirmed its new engine partnership for 2010.

In a press release released by the Grove team, Williams confirme que son partenariat moteur avec Toyota prendrait fin à l?issue de la saison 2009. « While the team was in difficulty, Toyota agreed to supply us with engines from 2007 until the end of 2009. ", said Frank Williams.

« Toyota has been a reliable partner who has always respected our independence and provided us with a top-class engine. We are proud to have worked with such a great company and thank the Cologne team for their support. »

On the other hand, Frank Williams? team has not confirmed its new partner for 2010 but will do so soon. Renault or Cosworth are expected to supply propellants to the Grove team.
