Williams rotates teams after several positive Covid-19 tests

Williams insisted on putting his cards on the table. After the discovery of several cases of Coronavirus in its ranks, the British team was forced to rotate its workforce.

« Williams confirms that a number of its members tested positive for Covid-19 during the weeks of the Portuguese and Emilia-Romagna GPs, explains the team from Grove (United Kingdom) in an official communication.

Without wishing to share their identity, we can affirm that these cases were handled in compliance with the Covid-19 Code of Conduct put in place by the FIA with the safety and health of all as a priority.

To comply with these instructions, several members of runway operations placed themselves in isolation after being identified as contact cases.

Under our Covid-19 protocols, several employees who usually work from the factory will travel to the Turkish Grand Prix to fill vacant roles. ».

Williams is not the first team hit by the Coronavirus this season. However, we will salute Grove's transparency where a team like Racing Point has rather stood out for its fragmented communication on the same subject.
