Williams pushes back implementation of SREC

Initially scheduled for the Turkish Grand Prix, the integration of the SREC within the FW31 is no longer relevant at present. The Grove team, through Patrick Head, believes that the excess weight of the system would have a negative impact on the behavior of the car. Indeed, unlike other teams, Williams has developed a mechanical SREC, 10 kg heavier than an electronic SREC used by the rest of the set.

« We continue to work on our SREC. I'm not saying we won't use it this year but it will be difficult to include it in the car while having optimal performance. », admitted Head on the Autosport website.
