Williams wary of the wind

The Williams FW36 remained relatively discreet in Texas during the first two free practice sessions. If Felipe Massa concluded his day in fifth place in EL2, the Brazilian just like his Finnish teammate Valtteri Bottas, highlighted the impact of wind on the performance of their car.

“It was very windy in the afternoon, so it is difficult to really judge the balance of the car which was quite different between this morning and this afternoon. The wind is likely to change for Saturday and Sunday, which could force us to adapt our set-up. Still, I'm happy with the way the car handles. »
declares the Brazilian. A point of view shared by Valtteri Bottas who had handed over his wheel to Felipe Nasr in EL1, but the Finn is impatiently awaiting tomorrow's final free practice session. “I think we can find improvements. EL3 will be a chance to push our limits. »

The third free practice session will begin at 16 p.m. French time and will be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr. Photos from Friday in Austin can be viewed here.
