Williams moves back into the good half

The FW34s already showed good performances during free practice for the Hungarian GP and they confirmed these good performances during qualifying as Pastor Maldonado will start from eighth place on the grid followed by his teammate Bruno Senna. The Venezuelan is looking forward to a top ten finish as he has missed out on points in every race since his victory in Barcelona. “My qualifications were pretty good, especially in Q2”, declares the winner of the Spanish GP. “But I was hampered twice by traffic in Q3. I'm happy for the team because we both (along with Bruno Senna) did a good job putting ourselves towards the top of the grid and that's quite positive. The gaps are very tight but we will have to attack to further improve our positions in the top ten. We have the car and the position on the grid to have a good race tomorrow. »

Same story with Bruno Senna who has only achieved four finishes in the top ten in ten Grands Prix contested this season. The Brazilian wants to take advantage of his first entry of the season in Q3 to collect additional points before the summer break. “This weekend is going well so far and I'm happy to be in the top ten (qualifying) for the first time this year. Q2 was extremely tight but we were still able to qualify. I could have had a better lap in Q3 but I'm happy with this result and having both cars in the top ten is satisfying for the team. The car has been consistent and our speed on the long runs seems good. We are in a good place for the start and I plan to attack to bring back good points to the team. »
