Windsor: “We are catching up”

Your participation in the 2010 championship would be more and more uncertain. TRUE ?
We really started working after the signing of the new Concorde Agreements and we are currently catching up, but that does not make us stillborn! Production of parts has already started in our Charlotte factory and two autoclave ovens have just been delivered. We are not ahead, it is true, but we are progressing in the right direction.

Are you in negotiations with Lola Cars for your chassis?
Totally false! We were indeed approached by Gerry Hughes – head designer – who offered to take over the firm's in-house project when Lola Cars decided to throw in the towel. We politely declined as we want to produce our own car. Nothing has changed since then.

Should the recruitment of Bernard Ferguson be considered a strong signal to your detractors?
Bernard Ferguson was still at the head of operations at Cosworth when the engine we are going to have was designed. He has since left the company, but has maintained excellent relations with the firm. He's a great guy who will be of great use to us. We are very happy with his arrival which shows, indeed, that everything is changing for the better.

Anything new on the “pilots” side?
No, except that we will undoubtedly be forced to put on hold our plan to have young American drivers ride. The 2010 season is going to be difficult and we are going to need experienced drivers who are ready to start.
