Toto Wolff persists, Grosjean will have his test with Mercedes

Two years after the crash of Romain Grosjean in Bahrain, last Grand Prix in Formula 1 dated for old driver Haas, the French pilot has still not carried out his test with Mercedes. As a reminder, touched by the fact that the Frenchman ended his career in F1 following an accident which could have cost him his life, the Brackley team had promised him a test in the Mercedes during the French Grand Prix in 2021 , but this was not possible due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.

With testing opportunities being extremely limited in recent seasons in Formula 1, Mercedes has not yet found a slot to run the Frenchman, also entered in IndyCar in the USA. But a video published by Grosjean on his You Tube channel rekindled the subject of holding this test since the Habs notably presented… the helmet with which he plans to test in the Mercedes.

Asked on the sidelines of the Australian Grand Prix on the subject, Toto wolff assured that he had not forgotten and that it will take place. “It will take place, obviously, confirmed the Austrian. We are working on it. We are looking at what we can do, but it will happen. When I give my word, I give my word! » The hardest thing to find remains, so... the date! And that’s no small feat!
