Yuki tsunoda had achieved the best performance of his career in F1 with eighth position. Unfortunately, the Japanese driver has just received a three-place penalty for hindering Valtteri Bottas during Q3.

During the session, we heard the Finn rail against Yuki Tsunoda. The Alpha Tauri driver claimed after the session that his team had not told him that the Mercedes came behind him.
The stewards did not take this argument into account and sanctioned the Japanese, indicating that it is the responsibility of the drivers to pay attention to the cars which are on a rolling lap or not.

Yuki Tsunoda will therefore start 11th tomorrow for the Styrian Grand Prix. This benefits Fernando Alonso (Alpine), Lance stroll (Aston Martin) and George Russell (Williams) which all gain a position.
