Yuki Tsunoda, annoyed, assures him: his abandonment at Zandvoort was not voluntary, and in no way intended to favor Red Bull and Max Verstappen.

The unfortunate thing about social media is that any unusual event can quickly become a source of conspiracy. The last one to have paid the price is the very impulsive Yuki tsunoda, near Zandvoort last week. As a reminder, the Japanese made headlines in the Netherlands when he suffered a double problem on the track. He actually parked on the shoulder for the first time, arguing on his radio that a wheel was probably loose. Returning to the pits, he changed tires but complained again, before stopping definitively on the track, causing a virtual safety car which had the gift of doing the business of Max Verstappen, the cousin of Red Bull

“I immediately felt something strange in the back”, explained Yuki Tsunoda in the Monza paddock. “At first I thought it was the tire. The team asked me to stop the car in a safe place at the side of the track. So I stopped, and almost turned it off. » Before continuing: “But the team told me they couldn’t find any problem. That's why we left again, we put new tires on, but I clearly felt a problem again. I told the team there was definitely a problem. That's why she told me to stop. »

A rather strange episode, which therefore caused some doubts among followers and fans, particularly on social networks. Yuki Tsunoda and Alpha Tauri would they have played into the hands of big sister Red Bull and big brother Max Verstappen? “It’s super simple: there was a problem with the car, and we confirmed that there was a problem with the differential”, the Japanese justified. “Of course it was a bit confusing because of the situation, but there is no reason to complain to the team, to myself and especially to Red Bull. This story is crazy, frankly crazy! Plus, I was in a good position to score points. In short, there was no reason to help them.”

And the Japanese continued: “I didn't know if Max was first, second, or who knows where, because I don't care about Red Bull Racing. In the race, Franz (Tost, the main team) makes fun of other teams, including Red Bull. Franz only thinks of one thing, the performance of the Team AlphaTauri» assured the teammate of Pierre Gasly. Yuki Tsunoda ended up losing his nerve when he was invited to speak about the conspiratorial messages from everyone.

"I don't want to know, and I don't care, he asserted. In fact, I wonder what their brains look like. You need to do an MRI and see what's wrong. It's funny how they make this up. Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri are completely different teams. Certainly, not as much as the other teams, but still, the names are different. We’re in Italy, they’re in the UK.” Here are the conspiracy theorists dressed for winter! For his part, the Japanese received a ten-place penalty for the Italian Grand Prix, for having accumulated five reprimands since the start of the championship at Zandvoort.
