Zak Brown: “We think Oscar Piastri will be a sensational driver”

This is one of the big new features of this year 2023. Daniel Ricciardo gently pushed towards the exit, McLaren decided to bet on his compatriot Oscar piastri by poaching him from Alpine, where his contractual situation was not very clear.
Put in the spotlight even before his first steps in Formula 1, the Australian knows he is expected by players in the industry after a controversial episode last summer when he arrived with the English. On the McLaren side, the managers are aware of the situation but have full confidence in Oscar Piastri in whom they see great potential.
« We think Oscar will be a sensational driver, McLaren boss Zak Brown says. If we look at his journey (in the promotion formulas), he won a lot of championships in his first year which allows you to say that a driver is special. He has an excellent mental approach to this sport."

Zak Brown has every interest in affirming that "Oscar Piastri will be a sensational driver" because having landed a multiple GP winner for a rookie, he was damn promising and efficient from his debut!!
