Zak Brown suggests Liberty Media buy Silverstone

Zak Brown suggested to Liberty Media, the new owners of the F1, to buy the Silverstone circuit to ensure the future of the British GP. The British meeting seems uncertain after 2019, the British Racing Driver’s Club complaining about high costs claimed to host the discipline while the current contract extends until 2027.

“I think Liberty should buy Silverstone, explained Zak Brown, executive director of McLaren. They should do like the NFL (American football league) which has its Super Bowl. I expressed my point of view to them. They listened to me and they will quickly say whether or not they agree with this logic. »

“I don’t want to speak for them. I have no idea what they will decide, Zak Brown said. The good thing about Liberty is that you can share your opinions and they take them into consideration. They have a lot of work to do and it's easy for me to come in and say tell them to buy the circuit. »

The Silverstone circuit has hosted the British GP without interruption since 1987.
