Zandvoort will not lack relief

The historic Dutch track, which will welcome the return of the Dutch Grand Prix next year after a 35-year absence, will include a section whose elevation will be twice as pronounced as the famous “banking” of Indianapolis.

Robert van Overdijk, CEO of Zandvoort, told the Dutch channel BNR Nieuwsradio that the slope of the last turn of the circuit built in the middle of the dunes of the North Sea will be 32% with a difference in altitude of 4,5 meters between the foot and the apex of the turn.

The third corner of the track, Hugenholtz, will also be curved. Enough to give Pirelli a cold sweat? More information will be revealed at a press conference scheduled for Monday, December 2.
