Zandvoort extended to F1 calendar until 2025

The Dutch Grand Prix has been renewed for two more seasons beyond its current contract.

Zandvoort extended to F1 calendar until 2025

Good news for fans of Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and lovers of the color orange. The Dutch Grand Prix is ​​officially extended until 2025.

The event will still take place in Zandvoort, a spectacular route which hugs the dunes of the North Sea, around thirty minutes by train from the capital Amsterdam.

Absent from the calendar between 1985 and 2021, the Dutch GP made a popular and acclaimed return to the program, driven by the fervor surrounding the idol of an entire people. In two editions, the Oranje Army was able to enjoy so many victories from its champion.

The Dutch race was initially expected to return to the calendar F1 in 2020 based on a three-year deal. The Covid pandemic having led to the cancellation of the return edition, the contract moved to the period 2021-2023. It is therefore a two-year extension which was confirmed this Thursday.

« The Dutch Grand Prix has quickly established itself as one of the most popular events on the calendar, greeted Stefano Domenicali, boss of F1. The event has incredible energy and provides an extraordinary experience for spectators every year.

The last two editions, which were sold out, pushed the standards in terms of organization, entertainment and sustainable development. Demand is strong to host Formula 1. This extension therefore rewards the work put in place by the Zandvoort teams ».

Besides Verstappen, our Dutch friends will also be able to encourage another local child in the person of Nyck de Vries, promoted to Alpha Tauri.

Scheduled for the last weekend of August 2023 (25-27), the next Dutch Grand Prix is ​​already sold out.
