12 PM from Bathurst – Ghiotto, Caldwell and Kirchhöfer join R-Motorsport

Having come close to victory at the 12 Hours of Bathurst (Australia) in 2019, the Swiss team R-Motorsport is back on the attack for the 2020 edition (January 31-February 2). Two Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be present in the box.

Announced at the end of last year, the leading car will be reserved for New Zealand star Scott Dixon, associated with Australian Supercars specialist Rick Kelly and Englishman Jake Dennis.

The second frame will have a strong youthful accent. Marvin Kirchhöfer (25), second in 2019, will try to improve his rank by one place. He will be joined by two rookies; the former pilot of Formula 2 Luca Ghiotto (24 years old) and the kid Olli Caldwell, only 17 years old!

The latter, passed through Formula 3 Regional Europe in 2019 (5th) thus branches off into Grand Tourism. “ I want to learn as much as possible in order to quickly adapt my driving style to the Aston Martin », indicates the “teenager, whose only experience in the discipline is a victory in GT4 at the 12 2018 Hours of Abu Dhabi.
