For his return to competition and GT, Sébastien Loeb is already in good shape! The Frenchman will compete this weekend in the 12 Hours of Mugello (Italy) in the company of Romain Dumas, aboard the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup n°963 from the Orchid Racing Team.
During qualifying, the nine-time world rally champion and two-time winner of the 24H of Le Mans qualified in 4th place in their category, one second behind the pole position won by the #903 of the Red Ant Racing team.
“First appearance at Mugello, it’s nice. I knew it was a beautiful circuit, I had never seen it in real life, reacted Sébastien Loeb after qualifying. We don't necessarily realize the difference in altitude, despite the simulator tests. The feelings are really cool, the place is nice. I'm looking forward to starting. »
The overall pole position was obtained by Boem by Kessel Racing. There Ferrari 206 GT3 n°8 from the Swiss team achieved the best average of the three qualifying sessions on the menu this Friday. Note that Sébastien Loeb's partner, Laurène Godey, also participates in the 12 Hours of Mugello with Orchid Racing Team, and qualified in 15th place in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
