Alex Buncombe replaces Maxime Soulet at Suzuka at Bentley

Last minute change within Bentley Team M-Sport, since Maxime Soulet will not compete in the Suzuka 10 Hours this weekend, with the expected birth of his first child. Alex Buncombe will be requisitioned.

Alex Buncombe replaces Maxime Soulet at Suzuka at Bentley

With the imminent birth of his first child, Maxime Soulet has logically chosen not to travel to the Suzuka 10 Hours this weekend for the fourth and penultimate round of the 2019 Intercontinental GT Challenge.

Le pensionnaire de la Bentley Continental GT3 n°108 sera remplacé dans le baquet de la voiture exploitée par Team M-Sport par le Britannique Alex Buncombe, qui viendra épauler Andy Soucek et Seb Morris.

“Our baby wasn't due for a few weeks but it looks like he'll come sooner, so I made the decision to stay home, comments Soulet. Alex has done a fantastic job for the team so far this season.

I hope to celebrate the birth of my son and a race victory for Bentley on Sunday evening. »

Buncombe knows English GT3 well, having notably evolved in the Blancpain GT Series. Endurance Cup at Monza and Silverstone this season, as well as the 24 Hours of Spa with Bentley Team M-Sport.

No. 107 will remain entrusted to the usual trio Jules Gounon – Steven Kane – Jordan Pepper.
