In parallel with its Formula 1, Aston Martin also presented its new Vantage GT3 which will compete in the World Endurance Championship, IMSA as well as the various Grand Touring disciplines from 2024.

This Monday, February 12, in parallel with the presentation of its AMR24 for the 2024 Formula 1 season, the Gaydon firm also revealed its new Vantage GT3, which will be entered in the various Grand Touring championships but also in IMSA, and in the World Touring Championship.Endurance (WEC) this season.

Around thirty Vantage GT3s on the track by the end of 2024

Concretely, the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is based on the old version used until 2023, still with an aluminum chassis and the 8L twin-turbo V4.0 engine. It incorporates a new front end, new aerodynamics designed mainly in CFD, as well as new damping settings. “The new GT3 is our first opportunity to use AMPT to play a role in harnessing the capabilities, attitude and methodologies of all the nerve centers of Aston Martin, which we have then combined with the AMR's unrivaled expertise in GT program management, explains Adam Carter, in charge of Endurance programs. The GT racing program will serve as a development laboratory that will lead to an increasing transfer of knowledge and approach into Aston Martin's future road cars. »

To develop the 3 generation Vantage GT2024, Aston Martin carried out an extensive development program, including a 30-hour test, with several factory professional drivers as well as selected amateur drivers. The teams that will operate the new GT3 have already been known for a while, including D'Station Racing and The Heart of Racing in the WEC, as well as Walkenhorst Motorsport, ComToYou Racing and Flying Lizard Motorsports in the other disciplines. No less than 30 Aston Martin Vantage GT3s are expected on the track by the end of 2024.
