Blancpain Endurance – Grasser Racing Team wins appeal

On April 12 at the Autodromo de Monza, Italy, the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 began its Blancpain career with fanfare. Endurance shows, with a win for the trio Jeroen Mul, Fabio Babini and Andrew Palmer.

A few hours after arrival, the car entered by the Grasser Racing Team was however downgraded (non-compliant fuel restrictor). There Ferrari 458 Italia n°333 of Rinaldi Racing was then declared the winner, the results however remaining pending, following the appeal filed by GRT.

If the decision of the commissioners was initially confirmed by the Court of Appeal of the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium on May 20, it was before the FIA ​​Court of Appeal that the epilogue took shape on July 28 last in favor, this time, of the Grasser Racing Team, who recovers his victory.

“We were sure that the FIA ​​would make a decision based on the regulations since we were in compliance with the rules,
explains Team Principal Gottfried Grasser. We had to be patient and wait for the hearing and the decision, but now we can officially celebrate the Monza victory. »
