The Nissan GT Academy Team RJN has revealed the crews that will participate in the Blancpain Endurance Series. The Japanese team will enter the Pro category for the first time with a GT-R Nismo GT3 entrusted to Wolfgang Reip, Katsumasa Chiyo and Alex Buncombe. This trio already distinguished itself at the start of the year by winning the Bathurst 12 Hours.
The second car will be entered in Pro-Am and driven by two rookies from the GT Academy : the French Gaetan Paletou and the Mexican Ricardo Sanchez. The two winners of the 2014 Gran Turismo promotion highlighted themselves by taking fifth place, 2nd in the category, at the 24 Hours of Dubai.
“I feel ready for Monza (April 12 in Italy) but I still have a hard time believing I’m going to race there”, admitted the 22-year-old French pilot. “I had no idea what awaited me this time last year and now I'm doing the job of my dreams. I know Monza is a good circuit for the GT-R because we have a powerful engine. We will therefore be in a good position to achieve a good result. »
