Blancpain Endurance Series – Lapierre arrives at ART Grand Prix

After taking third place in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Toyota, Nicolas lapierre will complete its program by playing the remaining rounds of the Blancpain Endurance Series in addition to WEC. After being replaced by Alexandre Prémat during the first two events, the French driver will pilot the McLaren MP4-12C entered by ART Grand Prix alongside Grégoire Demoustier and Alvaro Parente for the remaining rounds of the Blancpain Endurance Series.

“I competed in the 24 Hours of Spa twice and I loved this magical event”, comments Nicolas Lapierre who will defend the colors of the French team on June 28 at Paul Ricard. “I can't wait to get back there with ART Grand Prix and I'm happy that Toyota has allowed me to respond favorably to this opportunity. I have known Frédéric Vasseur (the director of ART Grand Prix) for a long time and we have always maintained excellent relations. I hold ART Grand Prix in high regard and I also know the drivers I will be racing with very well. They are friends who are very professional. »

Frédéric Vasseur is also delighted with the arrival of one of the WEC's top drivers. “Nicolas Lapierre is a driver who has natural talent that he showcases at every opportunity. He accomplished great things, whether in car or in endurance. ART Grand Prix is delighted to welcome him to the main events of the Blancpain Endurance Series where his expertise will be an undeniable asset. I would also like to thank Alexandre Prémat for his active participation at the start of the season. He played a big role in our victory at Monza and I hope to have the opportunity to work with him again. »
