Blancpain Endurance Series – Nissan ups the game

After confirming several drivers in its WEC program, Nissan has announced that it will enter a GT-R Nismo in the Blancpain Pro-Cup category Endurance Series. The Japanese manufacturer will field Alex Buncombe, Katsumasa Chiyo and Wolfgang Reip, the latter two having given the Japanese brand its first victory in the Bathurst 12 Hours since 1992.

The Briton is a veteran of the RJN since he has defended its interests for almost ten years. If the Belgian joined the British structure in 2013, the Japanese only made his debut in the discipline last year.

The Nissan GT Academy Team RJN took fifth place in the Blancpain Endurance Series Pro-Am Cup standings last year.
