Blancpain GT – AKKA-ASP strengthens its commitment in 2017

After a second part of 2016 marked by a second place at the 24 Hours of Spa, and a prestigious success during the final of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup in Barcelona, AKKA-ASP will look to an expanded program in the SRO championships.

The structure of Rabastens (Tarn) will always align its Mercedes-AMG GT3 in 2017, and will aim to shine in the Pro category, with two cars entered for the year. The crew of No. 90 will be composed of Raffaele marciello, passed through F1 to the position of reserve driver of Sauber F1 Team, and Michael Meadows for the Sprint championship. These two pilots will be associated with Mathias lauda en Endurance.

Felix Serrallés, third in British F3 in 2012 and went through the car in the United States in Indy Lights, will be associated with the No. 88 in Sprint at Daniel Juncadella, Mercedes driver and seconded by the German brand to AKKA-ASP. Tristan Vautier will join this duo in the Endurance Cup events.

AKKA-ASP will also play the leading roles in Pro-Am, with Jean-Luc Beaubelique associated with Jules Gounon for the Sprint series on the No. 87, Mauro Ricci supporting the duo on the Endurance rounds. The second Pro-Am crew on the No. 89 will see Daniele Perfetti associated in Endurance with Alex Fontana, who was driver McLaren last year, and Ludovic Badey.

This last car will, however, be driven in the Sprint Cup by the usual duo Jean-Philippe Belloc – Christophe Bourret. Anthony Pons will be entered in Blancpain GT Sports Club in the No. 72, where Mauro Ricci will also compete in a few events alongside the Blancpain GT Series.
