Blancpain GT – Edoardo Mortara joins AKKA-ASP in the Endurance Cup

The Italian-Swiss will replace Austrian Mathias Lauda in the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG GT90 from Jérôme Policand's team in the Endurance Cup.

Blancpain GT – Edoardo Mortara joins AKKA-ASP in the Endurance Cup

Alongside its flagship winter recruits Raffaele Marciello, Dani Juncadella and Felix Serralles, AKKA-ASP will be able to count on the reinforcement of Edward Mortara.

As indicated by the list of entrants for the Blancpain GT Series, revealed this Monday evening on the first day of official testing at Paul-Ricard (Var), Italio-Suisse, a major transfer from Audi to Mercedes en DTM for 2017, will replace the Austrian Mathias Lauda for the five events of theEndurance Cup in the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG GT90 alongside Raffaele Marciello and Michael Meadows.

Mortara finished runner-up in DTM last year, four points behind Marco Wittmann, and is far from a GT beginner, having won the event three times in the discipline on the streets of Macau.
