Winner in the cumulative ranking of the Blancpain GT Series in 2016, notably with the duo Buhk – Baumann in the Sprint Cup and the trio Buhk – Baumann – Jaafar in Endurance Cup, structure HTP Motorsport will once again be among the championship favorites in 2017.
The German team confirmed this Friday the identity of one of its trios to compete in the five Endurance Cup events. The Dutchman Indy Dontje, already aligned under the HTP banner last year, will be associated with the Germans Patrick Assenheimer and Kenneth Heyer on Mercedes-AMG GT3 in MANN-FILTER colors.
The same trio will also be at the start of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring (May 25-28), supported by a fourth driver who has yet to be confirmed. Dontje will also be in action in the ADAC GT Masters with HTP Motorsport, with teammate Marvin Kirchhöfer, a newcomer to GT after a first career in car, in GP3 and the now old GP2 Series.
