Blancpain GT – The #33 Audi wins at Brands Hatch

If the Mercedes AMG n°86 of HTP Motorsport driven by Bernd Schneider and Jules Szymkowiak seemed well on course to win the main race of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup at Brands Hatch (Great Britain) after his victory in the qualifying race, it was the No. 8 Audi R33 LMS of Christopher Mies and Enzo Ide which won, taking the advantage after the stops.

Although the safety car tightened the positions following the collision of two Team WRT Audis, the leading R8 LMS retained the advantage with Christopher Mies ahead of Jules Szymkowiak on the finish line.

The No. 8 Bentley Continental M-Sport by Maxime Soulet Andy Soucek completes the podium, thanks in particular to an excellent relay from the first, ahead of the McLaren 650S n°58 from Garage 59 driven by Bell-Parente which precedes the Audi n°74 from ISR of Perera-Stockinger. The No. 8 R15 LMS of Vanthoor-Vervisch only finished 15th after suffering a puncture at the start of the race.
