Blancpain GT – McLaren beats Ferrari at the Paul-Ricard 1000km

Garage 59 won the 1000km of Paul-Ricard (Var) with the McLaren 650S n°58 by Shane van Gisbergen, Rob Bell and Côme Ledogar. The Woking car took the advantage by taking advantage of a Full Course Yellow and resisted the return of the Ferrari 488 n°50 of AF Corse driven by Pasin Lathouras, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Michele Rugolo.

Team WRT secured the final step of the podium with the No. 8 Audi R3 LMS of Rodrigo Baptista, Jan Magnussen and Filipe Albuquerque who made one less save compared to his direct opponents.

The team M-Sport a eu l’occasion de réaliser un doublé au Castellet mais a manqué de réussite dans la dernière partie de la course. Alors que la Bentley Continental n°7 de Guy Smith, Vincent Abril et Steven Kane a chuté au classement suite à un accrochage, la n°8 de d’Andy Soucek, Wolfgang Reip et Maxime Soulet n’a pu prendre que la quatrième place après avoir écopé d’un drive-through pour ne pas avoir suffisamment ralenti sous drapeau jaune et avoir souffert d’un début d’incendie lors de son dernier arrêt.

The Nissan GT-R Nismo of Team RJN entrusted to Lucas Ordonez, Mitsunori Takaboshi and Alex Buncombe completes the top five, the Audi n°26 of Saintéloc Racing of Grégory Gulvert, Mike Parisy and Christopher Haase.

Kessel Racing won in Pro-Am with the #11 Ferrari of Michal Broniszewski, Alessandro Bonacini and Andrea Rizzoli which finished in eighth place in the general classification behind the Team's #8 R28 LMS driven by René Rast, Will Stevens and Antonio Garcia.
