Blancpain GT – Strakka Racing announces its drivers

New armed arm of McLaren GT in the GT3 series, Strakka Racing will be able to count on the support of Woking via the presence of a good number of official drivers for the 2017 Blancpain GT Series campaign.

Four 650S will in fact be entered in the championship, Sprint and Endurance reunited. French Como Ledogar and Briton Rob Bell, Endurance Cup champions in 2016, will return to defend their crown, and will be partnered with Driver Academy driver Ben Barnicoat.

The latter will also compete in the Sprint Cup alongside Alvaro Parente, winner of the Pirelli World Challenge this weekend in St Petersburg, Florida, while Rob Bell will be associated with Andrew Watson.

McLaren GT will also trust Dean Stoneman, former champion Formula 2 in 2010, and fresh from a season in Indy Lights on the other side of the Atlantic, to compete in the Endurance Cup with Andrew Watson and Jazeman Jaafar, defector from Mercedes-AMG.

Nick Leventis, boss-driver, will also be there with Lewis Williamson in the Sprint Cup, who will be supported by Craig Felming in the Endurance Cup, in a Pro-Am crew. Jonny Kane and Loris Hezemans will be reunited in the Sprint Cup, while Kane will receive support from David Fumanelli and Sam Tordoff, 2016 BTCC vice-champion, in Endurance.
