The Blancpain starting grid Endurance Series continues to fill up as the start of the season at Monza (April 14) draws closer. Today, JRM Racing announced the duo of drivers to whom it will entrust its GT-R entered in the Pro Cup. The Briton Peter Dumbreck, member of the team last year in WEC, will be associated with the German Lucas Luhr, who returns to a team that allowed him to win the world crown in FIA GT1 two years ago.
The latter did not hide his enthusiasm at the idea of returning to James Rumsey's squad: “I am very happy and enthusiastic about joining JRM again and getting back behind the wheel of a Nissan GT-R, admits the one who will also defend the colors of Muscle Milk Pickett Racing in American Le Mans Series. I know the team very well from the 2011 season, and the Nissan GT3 I will be racing with is based on the GT1 model I won the championship with, so I believe there is huge potential. The car looks good to me and clearly has the potential to do well in the championship, so I'm really optimistic. »
Same opinion for Peter Dumbreck who begins his fourth season with JRM: “Continuing with the team was natural after the successes we have had over the last three seasons, underlines the Briton, who will compete in the 6 Hours of Spa and the 24 Hours of Le Mans on a Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The Blancpain Endurance Series is very competitive and the car has the potential to do something very well. I know JRM and Nismo have worked hard to get the best out of the Nissan GT-R GT3 and I think we will show it this year. I can't wait to get back on the circuit and meet the rest of the field. »
At the same time, James Rumsey, Team Principal of JRM, added that the team was currently in discussions with several drivers for the third seat to be filled on this car.
