Blancpain – Marc VDS Racing sets out again

There is change. The Marc VDS Racing Team has just presented its squad for the 2013 Blancpain season Endurance Series. In the BMW Z4 GT3 #3 we will find Maxime Martin and Bas Leinders, just like last year. This time they will be supported by a newcomer to Marc van der Straten's team, the Dutch driver Yelmer Buurman. In the number 3 car last season, Markus Palttala joins Henri Moser and Nick Catsburg this year in the #4 BMW Z3 GT4.

Winners of two of the six races in 2012, the Marc VDS Racing Team saw the titles slip away from them during the round of the year in Navarra, in favor of another Belgian team, Team WRT. This year, she intends to rectify the situation.

“We couldn’t be more ready”, explains Bas Leinders, driver but also Team Principal of the team. “Everyone worked hard this winter in preparation. As team principal, I am very happy to bring in such good drivers for both our cars, as this is the key to putting together competitive line-ups to aim for the Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles. Yelmer Buurman is a very, very good driver and he showed it in the world championship last year. It's going to be good to run with him. I have no doubt that Max (Maxime Martin, editor’s note) remains the fastest GT driver in this competition, if not the world, and the drivers of the #4 car are fantastic. The BMW Z4 GT3 is also a stunning car. Everything is in place for us to play for the title again this year”, concludes the Belgian.
