Blancpain Sprint – Frijns joins Ide for Barcelona
A few days ago, Christopher Mies, teammate of Belgian Enzo Ide on the No. 8 Audi R33 LMS of Team WRT with whom he dominates the Sprint Cup ranking, announced that he would not play in Barcelona's decisive final in Catalonia, to focus on the ADAC GT Masters.
It therefore remained for Vincent Vosse's training to confirm the identity of Mies' replacement. As the Belgian Team Principal confirmed to us, it is ultimately the Dutchman Robin Frijns, 2015 Blancpain GT Series champion, who will support Ide on the Montmelo track. Usually aligned with Dries Vanthoor on No. 4, Frijns will be replaced by Nico Müller.
Enzo Ide is 17 points ahead of the Baumann – Buhk tandem (Mercedes-AMG – HTP Motorsport) before the Catalan meeting.
