Blancpain Sprint Series – Grasser keeps control at Zandvoort

The Blancpain Sprint Series qualifying race at Zandvoort was won by the Lamborghini LFII of Hari Proczyk and Jeroen Bleekemolen entered by the Grasser Racing Team. Starting from pole, the Dutchman maintained the advantage ahead of the Audi Team WRT of Laurens Vanthoor and increased his lead over the Belgian when the rain arrived. The first outing of the safety car came during the driver changes. Although Hari Proczyk was able to maintain the lead, HTP Motorsport did an excellent job gaining two positions with the Mercedes of the Championship leaders, Maximilian Götz and Maximilan Buhk, who beat the Lamborghini of Reiter Engineering of Stefano Rosina.

Alas, the second safety car came out following a collision between the Slovak and the Ferrari of the Team Villorba Corsica by Filipe Salaquarda. The race was restarted for two final laps, but Hari Proczyk was able to resist pressure from Maximilian Götz and secure the team's third successive victory ahead of the German crew. Team WRT achieved a good group shot as the Audi R8 LMS ultra of Laurens Vanthoor and Cesar Ramos took the last step of the podium in front of the sister car of René Rast and Enzo Ide, the Brazilian having taken advantage of the last moments to overtake the Belgian. The Team Schubert BMW Z4 driven by Dominik Baumann and Thomas Jäger completes the top five.
