Blancpain – Vincent Vosse: “Not a bad result”

With four cars entered, including the new Audi R8 LMS, already victorious at the Nürburgring earlier in the year, for the crews Vanthoor? Winkelhock? Rast and Stippler? Ortelli? Muller, Team WRT was the favorite to succeed himself at the 24 Hours of Spa, after his success last year by just seven seconds.

After taking pole position with the No. 2, Vincent Vosse's team took the lead on Saturday in the race at the end of the afternoon with the No. 1, but the very reliable Laurens Vanthoor left. at fault, after having been blocked for a long time by a latecomer. Is it finally the Stippler trio? Ortelli? Müller who was going to be the best chance for Team WRT, but this year, the #4 BMW Z3 GT46 of Team Marc VDS was the strongest.

« Finishing second always leaves a bit of disappointment, because all we want is to win. But it's not a bad result, considering it was our first time at Spa with the new car, and with the tricky start to the race, confessed Vincent Vosse after the finish. We have no regrets : the drivers and the team did a fantastic job. »
