Blanpain Sprint – Team WRT winner at Zandvoort with Rast and Ide

René Rast and Enzo Ide won the Championship race at the wheel of the No. 2 Audi of Team WRT. The Belgian moved to third before handing over the wheel to his German teammate who came out of the pits behind the Mercedes of Maximilian Götz and Maximilan Buhk entered by HTP Motorsport. Buhk gave up the lead of the race when the rain arrived before spinning. Rast then resisted the attacks of the Team Schubert BMW driven by Dominik Baumann, teammate of Thomas Jäger.

Team Herberth has made a good debut in the Blancpain Sprint Series since the Porsche 997 GT3 R of Robert Renauer and Jaap van Lagen completes the podium ahead of the Mercedes of Buhk-Götz who is ahead of the Lamborghinis of the Grasser Racing Team. Hary Proczyk and Jeroen Bleekemolen, the winners of the qualifying race, complete the top five ahead of the sister car of Sacha Halek and Stefan Landmann.
