BMW awaits handicap change

Clearly dominated by the Seat and especially Chevrolet drivers who benefited from Cruze sixty kilograms lighter, the BMW drivers are awaiting the revision of the weight compensation system before the Pau Grand Prix, the next stage of the WTCC.

In Morocco, the BMW 320si were as heavy as the Seat Leons which dominated the start of the season.

“We were not able to fight for victory,” insists a team spokesperson. “Our drivers were able to score valuable points but it was impossible to do better. »

By taking six points in the second race, Jörg Müller could be very satisfied with the accounting result: “It?s more than we expected. We knew this meeting would be very difficult. I did the best I could and I am happy with my performance. These six points are a great reward. »

The performances of the first three meetings of the season will be taken into account to calculate the ballast to be taken on board for the next round which will take place in the streets of Pau.
