David Brabham presented the BT62 in London, a new racing car being the first production of Brabham Automotive. Its name takes up the famous initials of Jack Brabham and Ron Tauranac.
The Brabham BT62 is powered by a 8l V5.4 which will only have to carry a mass established at 972kg, offering a weight/power ratio of 730hp per tonne. Its weight has been reduced as much as possible by the use of carbon fiber.
The model presented has the famous green and gold livery with which Jack Brabham won the 1966 French GP in Reims.
On the other hand, this new mount will not really be cheap since its price exceeds one million pounds excluding taxes (around €1). Its production will be limited to 134 copies. The first models should be delivered this year.
