C1 – Peugeot double in TCR Europe at Monza

The Lion was honored during the first race of the 2019 TCR Europe final in Monza (Italy). This Saturday, October 12, Julien Briché won the fourth victory of his European season, ahead of his compatriot Aurélien Comte, also entered with a 308 TCR.

The English leader in the general classification has made up for the situation perfectly. Only qualified in ninth place, Josh Files made a convincing start to reach the foot of the podium after two laps, before passing Santiago Urrutia (Audi) a few minutes later.

Third, the British driver maintains a comfortable lead of 33 point on the boss of JSB Competition. For your information, the winner of Race 2 on Sunday morning will obtain 40 points. Josh Files did the hardest part, because he will start on the front row on Sunday thanks to the reverse grid principle.

Among the French colony, Teddy Clairet (Peugeot ) and Nelson Panciatici (Hyundai) bring up the rear of the top 10. John Filippi (Cupra) is 11th, Jimmy Clairet (Peugeot) 17th ahead of Nathan Bihel (Hyundai, 18th). Marie Baus-Coppens (Cupra) finished 26th.
