Chase Elliott titled in Phoenix

By winning the last event of the year on the Phoenix (Arizona) oval, Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports – Chevrolet) takes the 2020 crown of the discipline, and perpetuates the victorious tradition of the family, his father Bill having been titled in 1988.

Winner of the race by dominating 153 of the 312 laps on the program, Elliott finished ahead of his three direct competitors Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin, after leading the entirety of the last 43 laps.

This coronation is the first for Hendrick Motorsports since 2016 (Jimmie Johnson), and the 13th in the team's history in the discipline.
