CMR leaves with two Bentleys in the Sprint Cup

Not content to compete in GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup in 2021, the CMR team is also involved in the Sprint Cup version. Two Bentley Continental GT3s will be lined up, with an equal distribution between Pro and Am classes.

In Pro, the Monegasque Stéphane Richelmi returns to a full-time program in GT3 for the first time since 2017 and the Blancpain GT Series with Team WRT. He will be joined by the Belgian Benjamin Lessennes, champion of the French Championship FFSAGT Reigning Silver Cup. “I am very happy to enter the championship which is certainly one of the toughest at the moment in the world of GT.”

On the Silver side, the French Pierre-Alexandre Jean will accompany the rookie Ulysses de Pauw, from the British F3. “We are very happy to sign these talented drivers for this season, explains Charly Bourachot, the CMR team manager. Regarding crew no. 108, Pierre-Alexandre will be able to bring his experience to Ulysse and they will clearly be up to the task of playing in the championship. Stéphane and Benjamin also form a really promising duo, we can't wait to work with them! »

“The team and I have learned a lot from 2020 and we feel more ready than ever to take on this challenge, continues Pierre-Alexandre Jean. My teammate is already very fast, and I appreciate our collaboration. I'm really looking forward to starting at Magny-Cours. »

“Compared to my old car, power and weight have almost doubled, explains Ulysse De Pauw. The brakes are also better, you have to get used to the ABS, traction control, etc. The philosophy of the competition will also be different. In endurance, you have to share the car with your teammate, there are the constraints of pitstops, tire changes, etc. I have a lot to learn but I am confident of being able to be quickly at the level. We have a good team, ultra-motivated, and we will give everything to achieve good results. »
