Coronavirus – The start of the TCR Europe season postponed

The TCR Europe has finally come out of its reserve in these times of the coronavirus pandemic. The European Touring Championship has announced that it is changing its 2020 calendar. The first event is now scheduled for the German Oschersleben track at the end of June, instead of Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium), which was to take place at the beginning of May.

The meeting in the Ardennes will now take place alongside the 24 Hours of Spa, on July 24 and 25. The sleeve of Red Bull Ring (Austria, May 15-17) is canceled. “We have also decided to reduce the program to six race weekends instead of seven, indicates Paulo Ferreira, the promoter of TCR Europe.

We have done our best to maintain an appropriate level of testing in a period that is deemed safe. The TCR Europe family, the teams and the promoters of the circuits visited will work together to overcome these difficult times. »

TCR Europe 2020 Calendar:

June 26-28: Oschersleben (Germany)

July 17-19: Paul-Ricard (Var)

July 24-25: Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium)

September 11-13: Zolder (Belgium)

September 25-27: Monza (Italy)

October 9-11: Barcelona (Spain)
