- Incredible scenario in Macau, this Sunday, for the FIA GT World Cup! Maro Engel won aboard the Mercedes-AMG n°130 by taking the lead two laps from the finish, thanks to a collision between Antonio Fuoco and Raffaele Marciello! The Italian and the Italo-Swiss were then fighting for the lead of the race on a wet but drying track: while trying to go around the inside, Raffaele Marciello slightly hit the back of the Ferrari Antonio Fuoco and the two drivers went straight into the escape route at the Hotel Lisboa, handing the lead of the race to the German, winner for the fourth time in Macau – the second time in the FIA GT World Cup!
FUOCO TAKING THE LEAD but wait until the end…😱😱😱

- Maro Engel ended his season in the best possible way, having been crowned champion in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup last October. Starting from 4th place, the German first gained a position in a muscular manner by coming into contact with Dries Vanthoor – who hit the wall in the winding section – then stayed in the wake of Raffaele Marciello and Antonio Fuoco throughout the race before taking advantage of the error of his two adversaries, as an opportunist. Despite a five-second penalty imposed following his contact with Dries Vanthoor, the Mercedes driver finished well ahead of Augusto Farfus and Sheldon van der Linde, who completed the podium.
- A crazy race that was nevertheless threatened by the heavy rain that was falling on Macau. The start of the race, brought forward by 15 minutes, was given under Safety Car. After five laps of driving to evacuate the water on the track, Raffaele Marciello, in pole position for this main race after his victory the day before, led the pack ahead of Dries Vanthoor and Antonio Fuoco. With the Belgian quickly out of the race after a mistake and the breakage of his front-right suspension, the Italo-Swiss and the Italian found themselves in a duel until the attack of the Ferrari driver two laps from the finish, followed by the terrible exit from the track of the two leaders. No third victory in the FIA GT World Cup for Raffaele Marciello therefore, defeated for the first time in Macau since 2019!
- For Antonio Fuoco, it is a terrible disappointment, he who was the fastest and most comfortable driver on the track in these wet conditions. The winner of the 24H of Le Mans put on a show by first overtaking the two BMWs of Dries Vanthoor and Raffaele Marciello at the same corner, with bold attacks in the final corner. Unfortunately, the Italian got caught out on a much wetter track than expected, off-line at the first braking point… The Ferrari driver nevertheless managed to finish in 9th place.
