The German circuit will also host the first round of the championship, reserved for GT25s since 27, from April 3 to 2021. For its second season with the Vantage, Comtoyou is bringing the British brand back to DTM for the first time since 2020. At the time, the category still gave pride of place to Class 1 silhouettes. These are still competing in Super GT in Japan, with the two championships originally intended to operate on a common basis and increasingly organize joint events.

On the driver side, two Comtoyou Racing regulars will be behind the wheel. Nicolas Baert and Gilles Magnus are eager to get to grips with their Vantage GT3s, which will sport the green and yellow ofAston Martin Racing. Magnus, who is returning to the team he drove with until 2023, is particularly looking forward to taking part in the always explosive DTM competition, in a family atmosphere that suits him particularly well.

"I'm delighted to be back with the team with whom I've already had some great times in the past. The atmosphere is quite special, combining both performance and a family atmosphere! It's important to feel good and to be surrounded by people so that you can give your best in return. Everyone is looking forward to Wednesday's tests, and I can't wait to get behind the wheel for the first time, before seeing where we are!"

At almost 24 years old, Nicolas Baert is not letting himself be trapped by the back-to-school feeling that hangs over Oschersleben. Tuesday's media day, which always takes place in a relaxed atmosphere, will this time give way to the truth of the stopwatch, which is as merciless as ever: "We are aware of the big challenge that awaits us, I am very motivated! The back-to-school atmosphere will not last long, I still have to confirm my position in the car, and quickly get into the thick of things in the first session! We have dreamed of it, now we have to perform well on the track!"
