  • Here’s Jack Atiken (Emil Frey Racing) again! Having been struggling since his season-opening victory at Oschersleben, the Briton relaunched this Saturday at Zandvoort, completing a perfect day.
  • Author of his second pole position of the year a few hours earlier, the former pilot Williams en F1 did not tremble during Race 1. On the shores of the North Sea, Jack Aitken proved uncompromising. In the lead when the lights went out, he then made a perfect copy, quickly pushing his opponents back by more than two seconds. A situation which allowed him to calmly negotiate his pit stop before safely regaining the lead of the race.
  • Untouchable in Zandvoort, the pilot of the Ferrari 296 GT3 N°14 crossed the line just over 2 seconds ahead of René Rast (Schubert Motorsport) while Arjun Maini (Team HRT) completed the podium. A podium that Clemens Schmid (Dörr Motorsport) saw slip away during the pit stop. Second at the time of the stops, the German finally took the checkerboard in 4e position more than 4 seconds from the winner.
  • Championship leader, Kelvin van der Linde (ABT Sportsline) had a difficult day with the 13e place. Luckily, his runner-up Thomas Preining (Manthey EMA) ranked 14e which allowed him to maintain the championship lead before the second race this Sunday (13:30 p.m.).
