In search of the New Star Porsche Carrera Cup France

On the Paul-Ricard Circuit (Var), the eight selected from the program carry out driving sessions, physical tests, media training and individual interviews. The 2022 class welcomes drivers from different worlds: Noah Andy (F4 France), Mathieu Fretin (Rallycross), Maxence Sevin (Porsche Sprint Challenge), Margaux Verza (Porsche Sport Cup Series), Arthur Rasse (Porsche Sprint Challenge), Lilou Wadoux (Alpine Europa Cup), Mathieu Martins (Ligier European Series) and Kajus Siksnelis (Karting). Even if there is only one elected to the Junior title at the end, the contenders compete in a healthy and caring atmosphere.

Monday morning: discovery of the car

Arriving on Sunday December 21 at the Grand Prix du Castellet hotel, the eight candidates surely dreamed of the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup. The next day, they discovered the two cars in the colors of the Carrera Cup France, which would serve as their toys for this day of testing. The two Porsches, those of Junior 2021 Alessandro Ghiretti and his teammate Victor Weyrich, were provided by the Martinet by Alméras team. Two team mechanics were present.
